We are searching for our next experienced Superintendent with a demonstrated ability in all phases of project supervision and leadership. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years experience in multi-family, commercial building, and possesses extensive knowledge of structural concrete, steel, and/or wood frame construction. You will have an opportunity to work on many exciting projects that range in size between $500K to $6M+ dollars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be a skilled and knowledgeable craftsman who is aware of the leading and latest construction techniques.
- Must be able to organize and lead a group of craft workers efficiently to obtain maximum productivity.
- Responsible for ordering and assuring materials and equipment are available and in place prior to crews beginning work in an area.
- Receive and coordinate jobsite deliveries of materials and equipment.
- Must coordinate scaffolding requirements and oversee onsite fabrication.
- Responsible for preparing "look-ahead" schedules consistent with the Project Schedule.
- Responsible for working with the head Project Manager, providing input and feedback where requested.
- Implement and manage Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with Project Specifications and other contract document requirements.
- Complete daily reports in a timely manner.
- Responsible for holding toolbox safety meetings, preparing written reports, and conduct any safety incidents investigations.
- Support projects to ensure overall success and maintain proper project records and documentation.
- Must be able to travel to project construction sites, ensuring success of the project.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma (or equivalent); a four-year degree in building science, construction management, or engineering, preferred. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry, with supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in fast food, fine dining, multi-family, commercial, tenant improvement, and/or industrial.
- Knowledgeable in computer programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, and Viewpoint.
- Positive team player who is skilled in communication, efficiency, organization, and multi-tasking.
- Strong mathematical skills, calculate proper dimensions of components, read/write/speak English, read blueprints, manuals, specifications, and communicate effectively with coworkers.
- A valid driver’s license and can operate a vehicle safely.
